The home improvement giant will open its first Santa Maria location, occupying approx. 140,000 sq. ft. in the complex located at Highway 101 and Betteravia Rd.
Radius•Hagelis Retail Advisors recently closed a major new lease by Lowe’s Home Improvement for a roughly 140,000 sq. ft. retail building in the new Santa Maria Ranch Shopping Center located near Highway 101 and Betteravia Rd.
Santa Maria’s first Lowe’s will join Costco in the 100-acre development project which also includes restaurants Chick-fil-A and Buffalo Wild Wings. Dick’s Sporting Goods is also reportedly in negotiation to lease space at the center.
Bill Hagelis spearheaded the 20-year NNN lease for Lowe’s, having represented the retailer for the past 14-plus years on the Central Coast.
“This is great news for Santa Maria and the surrounding communities who have been in need of this kind of shopping option for some time now,” said Hagelis. “It’s truly a testament to the strength and potential of the market that Lowe’s is staking ground here.”
The project, which dates back to 2008, is the largest development in Santa Maria in years. An elementary school, apartments and park are also planned for the site.
