Jack Gilbert specializes in multifamily investment sales at Radius Commercial Real Estate, where he is a Senior Associate on the top-producing Golis Team, a team with more than $1 billion in closed transactions across the Central Coast. Since joining Radius in April 2024, Jack has been part of more than $200 million in closed transactions across 55+ deals throughout Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties, spanning multifamily, student housing, hospitality, office, industrial, retail, and land.
Originally from Oak Park, Jack moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB, where he studied economics and earned his California real estate license after just one quarter on campus. Before joining Radius, he helped manage an Isla Vista student housing portfolio valued at over $100 million, building hands-on expertise in asset management, leasing, and operations. That operational foundation, combined with a rigorous underwriting approach, allows him to advise clients on both investment returns and the day-to-day realities of running their properties, and gives him a genuine edge in Isla Vista, one of his core markets.
Jack has become one of the market’s go-to resources on Santa Barbara’s rent stabilization ordinance. He created SBRSO.com, a free resource tracking the ordinance, and built its fair-return (MNOI) calculator for local housing providers. He was a featured speaker at the July 2026 Rent Control Roundtable, and he serves on the Save SB Housing Fundraising Committee supporting local housing providers. He also authors the team’s quarterly 5+ unit multifamily market reports.
An early adopter of AI and data-driven tools, Jack builds the custom financial models and technology that power the team’s underwriting, market research, and client service. In 2026 he was named to the Pacific Coast Business Times’ 40 Under 40. He is a member of ProVisors and stays active in the industry through events including ICSC Las Vegas, Bisnow Multifamily West, and the NMHC Student Housing Conference. Outside of work, Jack is an accomplished powerlifter and an avid traveler.
