For Justin Diem, a strong work ethic and penchant for over-achieving are practically second nature.

Justin Diem’s work ethic began early. “I was outfitting fishing and ski gear at 12, became a ski technician at 14, picked up a second job as a line cook at 15, and caddied at Montreux Golf Club during college while interning in my first finance role.” These formative experiences instilled a strong foundation of discipline, adaptability, and client service.

Justin began his professional career as a mortgage loan officer. “After navigating years of banking compliance, I developed a desire to transition into the tangible side of real estate, and the complexities of the commercial market immediately intrigued me.”

In 2018, Justin joined Radius, gaining exposure to the Santa Barbara region while contributing to more than $850 million in commercial sale and lease transactions alongside Bob Tuler, Paul Gamberdella, and Gene Deering. This experience provided him with broad market insight across all asset classes and a nuanced understanding of the regional economy.
After seven years with the team, Justin leveraged his expertise in property sales and leasing, valuation and investment analysis, contract negotiation, and marketing to step into a solo role as Vice President at Radius.

Now in his ninth year with the firm, Justin has developed a diverse and well-rounded skill set that delivers meaningful value to his clients, colleagues, and the community. His consistent performance and market knowledge have earned him a strong reputation within the Santa Barbara commercial real estate market.

Outside of work, Justin finds solace through backcountry skiing and hiking with his dogs in his hometown of June Lake, as well as playing golf in Santa Barbara. “These pursuits provide both relaxation and humbling moments that help reset and maintain balance in my career.”
